Heron Foods is a limited range value grocery retailer. We trade in local neighbourhoods and centres and are proud of our association with the communities we serve. The majority of our store portfolio is made up of small to medium sized units, most of which open long, flexible hours.
Heron Foods opened our first store in 1979 on Holderness Road in Hull and it proved to be an immediate success with local people, so much so that further stores were opened in quick succession throughout Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire and then further afield in Lincolnshire, South and North Yorkshire, and the Midlands.
The company employs over 3,500 people within its stores and at its Store Support Centre in Melton, near Hull.
