Library Theatre Assistants

Sheffield Libraries, Archives & Information Service are looking to recruit additional Casual Library Theatre Assistants to add to our existing pool of staff.

As a Library Theatre Assistant you will be responsible for checking and preparing the Theatre prior to the arrival of Theatre hirers, assisting hirers in loading and unloading their equipment/scenery/props, performing Front of House duties welcoming and assisting members of the public, overseeing and supporting the operation of the Theatre's licensed bar during performances, accepting deliveries, stocking the bar and cellar, ensuring the security and safety of the building, and performing final checks and locking-up the building after the event.

You will need to have a proactive can do attitude and excellent communication skills. You will have the ability to work under pressure, maintain a calm professional manner and be able to deal with sensitive situations diplomatically. The role includes a significant amount of lifting & handling, some cash handling, and working unsociable hours (primarily evenings and weekends).
