Residential Youth Support Worker – A Career Built on Compassion
Location: Worksop – S80
Salary: £27,976.00 - £28,650.00 Per Annum with sleep ins paid at £46.01
Pay Explained : Candidates appointed as a Qualified Support Worker will receive a salary of £28,650 per annum (£13.77 per hour), with an earning potential of £33,435.04, including sleep-in payments based on two sleep-ins per week. To be eligible for the Qualified Support Worker rate, applicants must hold either a Social Work Degree, a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Residential Care, or a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Children and Adults). Candidates who do not hold one of these qualifications will be considered for the Support Worker position, which offers a salary of £27,976 per annum (£13.45 per hour) and an earning potential of £32,761.04, including sleep-in payments. Sleep-ins are paid at £46.01 per sleep-in. Both salaries are also inclusive of a £1,400.00 attendance bonus which is paid quarterly.
Shift Pattern: Rotational shifts including earlies, lates, doubles, and sleep-ins

As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll be a vital part of a team supporting young people who have experienced trauma. Your role will be dynamic, challenging, and deeply rewarding. You’ll be responsible for:
Supporting daily routines, activities, and emotional well-being
Managing and de-escalating challenging situations with empathy
Encouraging independence, education, and life skills
Being a trusted role model—showing patience, resilience, and compassion
Creating a safe, nurturing, and stable home environment
About Farrimond House
Farrimond House is a small and cosy home with only 2 children based in Worksop. The home is the sister home of Meadow View also based in Worksop with both being managed by Julie Mason. We are PACE informed and use this therapeutic model to inform our practice with the hope of gaining better outcomes for our children.
Our staff are not just a team our staff are a family would provide a warm and welcoming nature to all children that come and live with us.

Visiting the zoo and attending the circus
Getting their nails done and going on day trips
Arts and crafts
