Job Title:  EYFS Teacher
Location:  Bradford Beacon School, Rooley Lane, Bradford, BD5 8LJ
Hours:  40 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Rota:  Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 8.00am–4.00pm | Tuesday 8.00am-4.30pm | Friday 8.00am–3.30pm
Salary:  Up to £42,500.00 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Contract:  Permanent | Term Time Only
Start:  September 2026

About the Role

As an EYFS Teacher in our specialist autism school, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing, trauma-informed learning environment where every child feels safe, valued and supported to thrive. You will deliver a creative and flexible early years curriculum tailored to individual needs, particularly for pupils with autism and associated additional needs. Working closely with support staff, therapists and families, you will ensure that each child’s learning journey is meaningful, engaging and aligned with their EHCP outcomes. This is a unique opportunity to shape high-quality early years practice within a growing provision and make a lasting difference to young learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver inspiring, individualised EYFS teaching for pupils with autism and complex needs.
• Create and maintain a safe, calm and purposeful classroom environment.
• Plan and adapt lessons to meet a wide range of abilities, learning styles and EHCP targets.
• Promote confidence, independence, communication and positive behaviour.
• Support pupils’ emotional, social and personal care needs while encouraging independence.
• Collaborate with therapists, support staff and families to secure meaningful progress.
• Observe, monitor and assess pupil learning, providing accurate feedback and contributing to reviews.
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion, ensuring all children have equal opportunities to learn.
• Contribute to the development of routines, culture and best practice within the EYFS setting.
• Prepare, organise and maintain resources, classroom areas and displays.
• Support children’s participation in activities, visits and wider learning experiences.

• Model positive behaviour and set high expectations for all pupils.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children, acting as a positive role model.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold all safeguarding, health and safety and data protection policies.
• Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to meetings and ongoing professional development.
• Support and guide support staff within the EYFS classroom to ensure high-quality provision.
• Contribute to whole-school development, continuous improvement and EYFS curriculum enhancement.

About You

This role is ideal for someone who:

• Holds QTS or QTLS (SEN experience is beneficial, but genuine passion is essential).
• Is educated to Degree level
• Is creative, flexible and resilient in their teaching approach.
• Believes in trauma-informed, child-centred education that prioritises wellbeing.
• Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team.
• Is excited to help shape and grow a developing early years provision.

Bradford Beacon School, opened in September 2025, is a brand-new specialist independent school for children aged 4–11 with autism and associated complex needs. Set in a purpose-built, thoughtfully refurbished environment, the school provides a safe, nurturing, and inclusive setting where every child feels valued.
