The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant

As an SEN Teaching Assistant working through Academics, you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN. Assist in adapting learning materials and approaches to meet individual needs. Promote independence, confidence, and social skills. Support teachers in maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Help manage behaviour in a consistent and supportive way. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.

About You

To be considered for this role, you should have: Previous experience supporting children with SEN and/or 1:1 support (preferred but not essential). A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A proactive attitude and passion for helping children overcome learning barriers. Level 2/3 qualifications in Education or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
