Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to work towards it)
  • Proven experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities
  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation
  • Ability to lead and manage the SEND provision across the school
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, parents, and external agencies
  • A commitment to inclusive education and a passion for supporting all learners to achieve their potential
  • Experience in writing and reviewing EHCPs and coordinating annual reviews
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
