The Role

As Director of Learning - Science, you will:

• Lead curriculum innovation and teaching excellence across KS3 and KS4
• Drive student progress and attainment in science
• Line manage and develop a team of passionate science educators
• Build links with feeder primary schools to ensure curriculum continuity
• Champion STEM enrichment through clubs, competitions, and outreach
• Contribute to whole-school leadership and strategic improvement

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (PGCE or equivalent)
• Proven success in raising achievement in secondary science
• Experience in middle or senior leadership
• Strong understanding of curriculum design, assessment, and data analysis
• Passion for inclusive education and community engagement
• Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing

Desirable

• NPQML / NPQSL or Masters-level qualification
• Experience in more than one school, ideally one rated "Good" or better
• SENCO, DSL, or pastoral leadership experience
