Salary: Grade CRW L3, SCPs 12 - 24 - £28,598 - £35,412 (pro rata), Permanent, 18.5 and 37 hours per week, within the Duty & Assessment teams and Children and Families teams, based at Keighley Town Hall.

About the Role

We currently have a number of full-time and part-time roles for Community Resource Workers within both the Duty & Assessment and Children & Families teams. You will be helping Social Workers to support children and their families who may require temporary or ongoing help from statutory social work services. 

The role will require you to work directly with children and families, and to build trusting and supportive relationships, in order to improve difficulties that they may be facing. It is a hands on role and at the frontline of ensuring that every child has the best start in life.

Our approach is rooted in restorative and relational practice, fostering trust, mutual respect, and meaningful relationships with children, families, and professionals.

You’ll also:

  • Supervise family time arrangements
  • Undertake direct work with children
  • Deliver direct work with parents to support in areas such as, budgeting, establishing routines and boundaries, and healthy relationships.
  • Support social workers to manage non-statutory activities with children
  • Offer general support such as opening bank accounts or applying for a passports

To be successful in this role you will need: 

  • You must hold a minimum Level 3 Diploma working with children and young people or other relevant qualifications (for example: A Relevant degree, Dip S.W, RGN, Teaching, Youth and Community etc, or equivalent as specified by the service if this is supported by 2 years' experience of working with 2 children)
  • Experience – Adequate continuous experience of working with children and young people.
  • Good Communication skills
  • A driving licence and access to a car with Business Insurance unless a disability prevents this.
