We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Manager to oversee the delivery of high-quality care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of senior roles and experience in managing care plans. This role offers an opportunity to lead a compassionate team committed to enhancing the well-being of clients through personalised care and professional management. The Care Manager will play a pivotal role in supervising staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and fostering a supportive environment for both clients and team members.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and regularly review personalised care plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Supervise and lead care staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals
- Manage operational aspects of staffing schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and quality standards.
- Foster a positive environment that promotes respect, independence, and quality of life for clients.
- Accountable for the provision of on-call telephone services on a 4 weekly rota Friday to Thursday ensuring effective management.
- Will be responsible for direct line management of Care Team, including but not limited to management of weekly workload, annual leave, staff sickness, staff supervisions and spot checks, team meetings, staff appraisals and disciplinaries.
- Ensuring regular communication on a team and individual basis.
- To manage the induction of new starters.
- Manage and attend client reviews as required.
- Assessing the needs of new clients.
- To provide emergency care assistant cover as required.
- Efficiently and effectively report safeguarding / client issues when required.
- Assist with the personal development of the staff within the Care Team and ensure staff issues are dealt with satisfactorily as they arise in an efficient and confidential manner.
Qualifications
- Full, valid UK driving licence and appropriate insurance for your vehicle to include use for business purposes.
- Experience of leading a team
- Be flexible and able to work in the community to cover sickness if needed.
- Ability to build great working relationships.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Committed to the health and social care career path.
- Excellent at communicating.
- Great at planning and organising their own workload.
- Experience in developing and managing care plans.
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills suitable for working with elderly clients with diverse needs.
