Salary: £46,000 - £66 ,000 per annum, Including optional car allowance, plus Benefits
Bonus Scheme: £2000-£3000

Responsible to: Responsible Individual & the Managing Director
Job Purpose:To serve as the Ofsted Registered Manager for two children's homes, ensuring compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015. Responsible for leading high-quality residential services that improve outcomes for children, young people, and families. Provide effective team leadership and ensure services are child-centred, rights-based, and delivered in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of Ofsted-regulated residential homes under the guidance of senior leadership.
- Ensure high standards of care and positive outcomes for young people through evidence-based practice and collaboration.
- Embed the organisation's vision into policies, procedures, and team management.
- Provide strong leadership, ensuring staff are well-trained, supported, and compliant with training requirements.
- Foster effective communication with external partners and internal teams.
- Oversee regulatory compliance, safeguarding, and the home's Statement of Purpose.
- Promote young people's participation, rights, and voice in service delivery.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and uphold equality and inclusion.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
Operational and Staff Management Responsibilities:
- Oversee all staffing matters, including rotas, delegation, supervision, appraisals, induction, and probation.
- Ensure effective collaboration with partner agencies and clinical teams to support individual care plans.
- Stay informed on legislative changes and update policies and practices accordingly.
- Maintain robust health and safety systems, ensuring staff training is completed and recorded.
- Manage administrative systems for records, assessments, and confidentiality.
- Ensure the home's physical environment is safe, well-maintained, and properly inventoried.
- Support service development in collaboration with the Senior Management Team (SMT).
Summary of Role Requirements:
- Qualifications:Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Experience:Proven leadership in children's residential care, with experience managing teams and working with external agencies.
- Knowledge:Strong understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and trauma-informed care.
- Skills:Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills; confident with care systems and IT.
- Other:Enhanced DBS, flexible availability, and a full UK driving licence.
