Location: Field based in the Sheffield area
Salary: £28,000 £32,000 DOE + Car Allowance & Benefits

Verus Recruitment is exclusively supporting our client a growing IT services provider as they look to add a talented IT Field Engineer to their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to bring together your technical skills and customer-focused approach in a business that genuinely values both.

You'll be working across multiple client sites in the Sheffield area, delivering hands-on support and building trusted relationships with end users who depend on your expertise. No two days will be the same and your work will have real impact.

It's a role that combines independence with teamwork, giving you the variety of site-based work alongside the backing of a friendly and knowledgeable Service Desk team.

What you ll do:

• Act as the first point of contact for technical issues across multiple customer sites.
• Build, install and configure devices, servers, and network infrastructure.
• Support and maintain backup systems, Windows environments, and Office 365.
• Troubleshoot issues with AV equipment and other onsite tech.
• Work closely with the Service Desk team to resolve tickets efficiently.
• Provide a friendly, approachable and knowledgeable presence that clients can rely on.

What you ll bring:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar onsite IT support or field-based role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 11, Windows Server, networking, and Office 365.
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• A proactive, friendly attitude with clear communication skills.
• Full, clean UK driving licence (essential)
