If so, we want to hear from you! Randstad Education is actively building a pool of talented and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants for a variety of rewarding roles in mainstream schools across the Bradford area.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing one-on-one or small-group support to pupils with a range of SEND.

  • Helping pupils access the mainstream curriculum and participate in classroom activities.

  • Supporting the class teacher in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

  • Implementing individual education or behaviour plans (EHCPs).

  • Using positive behaviour management strategies to help pupils feel safe and secure.

  • Collaborating with the wider school team to ensure pupil well-being and progress.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEND).

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, but strong relevant experience is essential.

  • An Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one).

  • The legal right to work in the UK without any restrictions.

  • A calm, patient, and compassionate approach.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build good relationships.

  • First Aid training is preferred, but not essential.
