Are you a Level II X-Ray Technician looking for long-term stability within a structured aerospace environment? Verus Recruitment Partners are pleased to be supporting a leading international aerospace manufacturer based in South Yorkshire. Due to continued growth and programme demand, we are recruiting an experienced NDT X-Ray Technician to join their established Radiography department on a permanent basis.This role would suit someone who values working within a compliance-led environment where standards are clear, documentation is controlled and quality is embedded into daily operations.
Job Purpose: To carry out radiographic non-destructive testing on aerospace components, ensuring all products meet strict customer, regulatory and internal quality standards. You will understand the products, equipment setup and NDT operations, working within a highly regulated and audit-ready environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Work with X-Ray generating equipment.
- Set up, operate and calibrate all X-Ray equipment.
- Review routers, procedures, specifications and technical documentation.
- Carry out radiographic testing in line with EN4179 / NAS410 standards.
- Process radiographic films and/or digital outputs.
- Interpret, evaluate and report inspection results.
- Identify weld discontinuities and assess against specification.
- Generate new and amended NDT Data Cards for Level III approval.
- Maintain accurate and traceable inspection documentation.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and process control checks.
- Follow and promote Health & Safety practices at all times.
Once training is completed, you will move onto the 3-shift rotation.
About You:- Hold or previously have held EN4179 / NAS410 Level II X-Ray certification (essential).
- Experience working within an aerospace Radiography department.
- Confident operating and calibrating X-Ray equipment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with AS9100 and NADCAP environments would be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical working approach.
- Comfortable working both independently and within a team.
PCN Level II certification would be desirable but is not essential.
