About the Role

This is a key strategic position within the school's senior leadership team. As School Business Manager, you will oversee core support services that underpin effective teaching and learning. You'll provide specialist advice to the Principal and Governors, drive compliance and efficiency in line with Trust policy, and lead business operations in finance, HR, estates, IT, governance, and more.

Position Details:

  • Contract: Full-Time
  • Location: Bradford - Easily accessible from Leeds, Wakefield, Huddersfield & South Yorkshire
  • Start Date: September 2025
  • Experience as a School Business Manager is essential

Essential Requirements

  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
  • 5 A - Cs at GCSE including English and Maths (Essential)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Management within a public/private sector setting.
  • Experience in financial, HR, business and/or premises operations.
  • Experience in managing administrative systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Advise the Principal and Governors on all operational matters
  • Lead financial strategy, budgeting, reporting and procurement
  • Manage HR processes, personnel files, recruitment, and performance
  • Ensure up-to-date Single Central Record (SCR) and HR compliance
  • Oversee site maintenance, facilities, health & safety and fire regulations
  • Act as the school's Data Protection Lead
  • Support governance procedures and statutory compliance
  • Lead admissions and attendance processes
  • Handle school lettings and community liaison
  • Represent the school at SLT and governor meetings
  • Maintain accurate student and financial record
